On the specified day, you arrive at the address where the Consulate General of the United States of America is located in Kyiv. Sharp and cutting objects are prohibited, and all electronic devices must be turned off and checked into storage. 1. Registration Desk. Here, you will need to present a valid passport, confirmation of the completed DS-160 form, interview appointment, and the receipt for the consular fee payment. 2. Windows #1 and #2. Here, the U.S. consulate staff will verify your documents and collect biometric data if you have not previously submitted them. Upon completion, you will be asked to proceed to window #4 or #5.
3. Windows #4 and #5. This is where the interview for the U.S. visa takes place. You will have to answer several questions, which can vary widely. It is advisable to speak briefly and informatively. Documents should only be provided upon the officer’s request; do not take the initiative on your own.
